The Maison Piaget

Symbolic stages: casing up and quality controls

Each movement is tested by the watchmakers at the Manufacture in La Côte-aux-Fées for 3 weeks before casing up in our Geneva workshops. These exacting quality requirements enable Piaget to attain the very highest standards of fine watchmaking. A strictly-defined procedure governs the tests that each component is subjected to prior to casing up. The complementary domains of expertise in the two Manufactures come together when the movement is united with its elegant case of gold, platinum or titanium. Orchestrating their fusion requires a great deal of careful attention in order to comply with the extremely precise quality controls and to ensure the reliability of Piaget luxury watches. All precautions are taken during the delicate stage of casing up. The movement is fitted in a noble metal, the dial and the hands shape its face. The watch comes to life. However it is only after passing through an extremely strict series of new controls that it will have earned the right to claim its place in the exceptional world of Haute Horlogerie watches.
